Hi all, Being the lazy person that I am, I've made a script that runs rdlogmanager from the command line and then emails off the results (exceptions to rules etc), the contents of the results are also copied to a log file stored locally.
By default, it produces a log 3 days in advance and I have cron set to run every day. That way I've got a 3 day buffer of logs which gets me over the weekends when some people might not be at work to check the exceptions. File attached if its any use to anyone. If you want the email to work you'll need to install mail-utils (uses sendmail) under ubuntu/debian and set it up for an "Internet site" with all the defaults. Be aware that if you're emailing externally and you're on a home IP address you'll be spam blocked as most ISPs block home email by default. You really need an MX record and a business contract to stop this happening. For internal use across a LAN it works fine without any of this mind. -- Wayne Merricks The Voice Asia ####################### Scanned by MailMarshal ####################### ############ Attention: The information contained in this message is confidential and intended for the addressee(s) only.
