I think if I remember rightly in a post just recently, that RD only logs the last 1,000 carts scheduled, for future seperation when it comes to Titles?
I think my shortest Title seperation in a group is 64 (based on worse case senario - 64 other carts have to play before a title can repeat if it counts all carts?). I haven't heard the same song pop up within those few hours yet and my library is under 1,000. I find that RD is quite reliable at least with Artist seperation rules though. I always get a Log Exception Report at the end of generating logs as I have some 15 sec' LTSA carts that occur more regularly than my Artist Seperation rules are set for. They still get scheduled as they should, but I'm always informed about the rule violations on the Artist side of things. I use scheduler codes as well for minimum seperation for mood, mood-harsh and mood-slow etc... both max in a row and minimum seperation. I haven't gotten detailed enough yet to sperate say Tom Petty vs The Traveling Wilbury's yet. Not until I reach over 1,500 songs. I did notice with scheduler codes a few carts popping up a little too often in the beginning. Then realised I had to account for additional seperation to include jingles and news carts etc... in between when setting scheduler rules via clocks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Geoff Barkman" <[email protected]> To: "User discussion about the Rivendell Radio Automation System" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, August 15, 2012 1:31 PM Subject: [RDD] Title Separations on events > Hi There > We are still using Rivendell 1.72 for on air Automation using events > made in rdlogmanager. > Most of our music is in a separate group for each type of music. eg > JazzA group BluesA KiwiA etc. > I've made events called JazzA BluesA KiwiA etc and set up "Title > Separations" on events of 1000 or there abouts.
