 The point was simply that UDP across a secure link is
 possible by a few means, ssh being but one of them,
 not the only one.
 If one doesn't want the overhead of encryption, one could
 simply use an unencrypted unsecured link. On a private leased
 WAN, there is no security risk at all, but it's a poor assumption
 to preclude any other option.
