Its probably a mismatch of sample rates somewhere in the config, I've never
tried as low as 11KHz before though so may even be a bug.

Your best bet is to batch resample them using something like sox or even
manually in Audacity (WinFF maybe?) then import to Riv. Sampling up shouldn't
introduce many noticeable artifacts especially if you go flat wav as the
interim instead of mp3'ing them again.

Wayne

Subject: [RDD] Files import at wrong sample rate

We are attempting to import into the Rivendell library mp3 files from
Creation Moments website
http://www.creationmoments.com/radio/transcripts/volume-142. These mp3
files are encoded at 11.025 KHz
This is the file information for a representative sample:

Duration : 2mn 5s
Bit rate mode : Constant
Bit rate : 32.0 Kbps
Channel(s) : 1 channel
Sampling rate : 11.025 KHz
Compression mode : Lossy
Stream size : 486 KiB (100%)

Once imported, these play back at high speed "donald duck" type sound.

Does anyone have a recommended procedure for importing these types of files.
