Hi Hoggins, We had a similar situation here - two machines both broadcasting Now and Next to the same SHOUTcast server. Unfortunately the On Air and Off Air flags do not determine if Now and Next data is transmitted.
However, I made two Macro carts that set the flag to 1 or 0, and also echo '1' or '0' to a text file. Then made a slight modification to the bash script that sends information up to the SHOUTcast server, i.e. if sendinfo.txt contains '1' then continue and send information, if it contains '0', do nothing. I am away from the studio at the moment but I would be happy to send you my scripts or post them here, just let me know. Both send their now and next data to the sameserver. This data is then processed to feed the streaming server and the RDS encoder. We would like to have a way to set our machines in an "On Air" or "Not On Air" mode, so that only one machine at a time is allowed to transmit theirUDP datagrams. Actually, there is a "On Air" flagthat can be defined via RML. Would that be our lead ? Thanks in advance, Hoggins! _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.rivendellaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
