In exchange for my rant earlier, I'd like to share with the members of the list a couple of websites I think you might find of interest:
=== First is a blog written by a radio engineer named Paul Thurst on the East Coast. He contracts to a bunch of stations, and is prone to some very thoughtful and informative commentary on a whole bunch of radio and technology related topics... and is currently taking Cisco training, his comments on which are directly pertinent to my earlier rant. The commenters on his blog are really sharp people too. http://www.engineeringradio.us/blog/ === The second is a forum for engineering types, in AM, FM, TV, SW, and Internet Radio: http://www.broadcastengineering.info/ It's a standard phpBB forum, well moderated and managed, with again a very interesting mix of topics and members. As is usual with fora of this type, it's a good idea to merge carefully into traffic, reading for a while before one posts. Yes, they've heard of Rivendell, and some of them even care. :-) Cheers, -- jra -- Jay R.
