I'm not sure if this is what your looking for but...
There is VNC available for the android, which would give you remote
access to the system. If using the broadcast appliance, VNC is already
setup "out of the box" [with just a few minor tweaks needed].
Also, Teamviewer can be installed as well [another remote access ap] but
it would need to be installed on the Rivendell workstation as well.
