Greetings,

I have been working for sometime on a small Android app
to make remote broadcasts easier for my air staff.
In this day of downsizing and smaller staffs it is not always possible to
have a board op available and sometimes situations or not conducive
to make use of VNC which we use over a SSH connection when we can.
While this app is still being refined daily, it is functional as this point.
Some caveats, you must have a rooted android device at this point
(which I have never thought of as a big deal)
Working on some workarounds for this but many of the functions require root
usage busybox commands and the ability to get around android and access the
Linux core behind it.
The app makes use of a SSH tunnel to send commands to your on air machine
and gets feedback through a private Apache web server.
What does it do?
Change mode, auto, manual, live assist
Start next event.
Start next event and return to auto mode.
Insert next by cart number.
Display all carts. So jock can find number
Search all carts by artist or title or number.
Refresh cart list.
Record voice track on device, and upload to drop box.
Insert voice track as next.
Display now and next.
And the Sheldon used 'panic' button Stop.

This app requires SSH private keys and does not support password login.

At this point, want to know what you think?
Any suggestions to add or remove functions?
Thoughts in general?

We currently use this on android 7 inch tablets, a smaller smartphone ui is
being worked on but the tablet seems the way to go.
Under testing, commands take about 800 ms to occur on a decent
Cell connection slightly faster on WiFi.

Cheers and Happy Easter to those that applies

I will post a screenshot link shortly.
