In general, yes.  If you're running Linux, you're running (generally)
a current version of X.  If you plug in more than one USB keyboard,
they should all work, I believe by default (though it can be distro
and configuration specific.

If you try to do keymapping with a stock keyboard in a multiple KB setup,
you might have trouble; the standard tools probably can't get a handle on 
which keyboard the keystroke came from.

The Xkeys are programmable, so you could set them to macro sequences or 
F-key sequences which you could catch safely in X.
