Hi all,
I was reading distrowatch.com article about Tune Tracker System and their
choice of Haiku OS. They claim it is really fast and it mainly takes
advantages from its hybrid kernel nature. By doing this they can achieve a
true soft-real-time kernel.

I tried to see if Rivendell had any chance to run on it. Well, from a
strictly hardware point of view there are quite good news. Audio chipset
Echo3g, ICE 1712, HDA and others are supported. So we can move on :-)

There are many multimedia projects based on Haiku, therefore audio and
video libraries porting is quite good. No ALSA, but there's Jack. Let's go
further...

It doesn't use X11, but has Qt framework. I don't think Rivendell actually
depends on X, but just on Qt v3 instead. Unfortunately I couldn't find any
Qt3 porting on Haiku around the web, so at the moment I am stuck.

Anyone is interested in this project?
Have a nice day.

Alessio
