Is there a guide anywhere to getting JACK up and running? I've tried to get it working on two different machines, and find that I can't get sound from the sound card input to go anywhere, nor sound from any piece of software to show up at the output of the sound card.
In my latest attempt to record something into Ardour, I managed to lock up my computer, and now it locks up every time Ardour starts.
Eventually, I'd like to find a program that can do audio compression to run with Darkice and icecast on a streaming encoder instead of installing something like a Compellor in front of it.
