1. Drag and drop of tracks in the log. Instead of having to use the
move button to move tracks around, if you could just drag and drop a
track to where you wanted it, it would be easier to use.
If it had this it should be optional check box or something. As I find it's
harder to bump a mouse and hence the log if you have to actively tell
Rivendell to move first.
2. A playback mode where Stop elements are ignored. This would mainly
be to cover those times when no one is at the station and for some
reason a stop element has been left in the log. I realize this would be
more to cover for human error rather then anything else, and for that
very reason it might be a feature to not implement. I see this as a "no
one is going to be here, so the system must keep playing audio as long
as there is audio in the log to play" mode.
It's not easy though to cause human error on carts as far as segues happen.
You have to perform three actions -open/audition a cart then click the segue
area, then choose the segue type. It would also require the announcer to
change log events beyond his shift unless he's walking out before it
finishes. Perhaps RDAdmin user privilegess could have a spefied time window
they are or aren't allowed to change log events for a particular user? Or
have it as a macro to start or end an ignore stop period. Another play mode
is also another thing to go wrong though too.
Anyways, just thought I'd put those out there.
