Hello Pedro,

I have started a document describing mu way of building Rivendell on Ubuntu
12.04, here I use the default Unity interface but I think there will be no
problem if you're using KDE.

The instalation considers I'm using an ALSA compatible sound card and we'll
have jackd to interface with it.

Personaly I don't like to run the daemons under root user, as currentely I
see when using the CentOS Appliance DVD, so I force the daemons to run
under a system user, such as "rduser".

This document is still missing the upstart startup scripts, these weekend I
had e very nice experience using upstart. I confess I'm amazed, I think I'm
in love with Upstart 1.5 that comes with Ubuntu 12.04.

I was able to put everything (jackd, caed, ripcd, rdcatchd, liquidsoap and
rotter) working as system deamons under unprivileged user account and with
real time capabilities (thanks upstart again)

I'm still refining the scripts annd I hope I can share them asap.

Pedro, the document about Rivendell compilation itself was written in
Portuguese (as I'm a Brazilian) but I think it won't be a problem for you
considering your mail domain is pt, I presume you're from Portugal.

Please try this link for the document.

If you have any issues accessing it let me know.

I hope you may find it usefull.
