I am sure there maybe a couple guys like me on the mailing list, so in
an attempt to help, here is my explanation-PLEASE if I got this wrong,
someone correct me!
If you are kind of new to Rivendell (and Linux) like me, then these are
the layman differences between v1 and v2:
The underlying operating system (and associated components) have been
completely changed.
Rivendell itself (RDadmin, RDAirplay, etc) should be almost identical
functionally and cosmetically between the two (although the actual
software code itself probably had to change somewhat to accommodate the
new operating system).
I guess for us "winders" guys, it would almost be like using the same
application, but the OS went from XP to Win7 underneath...
