What do you exactly mean by server and client?
Usually server hosts database and storage, that's what it "serves" you. In
Rivendell you can also host a single Apache server and you can share audio
resources (audio card) as well. You can mix, some machines share something,
others host other things.. and so on.
In your setup are audio resources locally? Do you want machines plays with
theis connected audio card? In this case be sure in RDAdmin -> Manage Hosts
-> Edit -> Audio Engine = localhost for all host you want to sound with
phisically connected audio card. Next simply restart all the daemons. They
read database, If they read "localhost" in audio engine they try to take
internal hardware (according to /etc/asound.conf). Then they update
database telling how many cards/channels they can control.
So I think in your case be sure RDAdmin host is correct, and then restart
all the daemons.
