In addition to the dev packages, you may also need tweak the build environment
a bit. On a recent Ubuntu (12.04 LTS IIRC), this did the business:
export CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/include/qt4

Yes! Currently, the following codecs are on the roadmap (in addition to MP3):
AAC
HE-AAC
OggVorbis
Opus

Not quite! I have been running my own build (v0.18.1) at a couple of sites and
have found it to be rock solid so long as you don’t use JACK input sources.
Using OSS sources, I routinely get uptimes ranging in the months.
Thus, solid JACK support is one of the primary goals of GlassCoder; the other
being the ability to define the complete configuration on the command-line.
This means no more futzing around with configuration files; the entire encoder
configuration can be stored in the Rivendell database.
