I think I may have found a small snag that *may* have been the root
cause of my slow/hanging ssh...
The appliance v2 by default setups up the hostname to "rdhost". Of
course that is EASILY changed after installation (there are many how-tos
on this; its very simple).
HOWEVER, when troubleshooting a different issue, I logged into my router
to see its dhcp client table, and the hostname listed for my v2 was the
default hostname (rdhost). How could that be, when I changed it...
As it turns out, the instructions for changing the hostname (all the
ones I have found anyway) DO NOT change the following line:
DHCP_HOSTNAME=x
In the following file:
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts
Whether that is on purpose, or an oversight I don't know, but thought
I'd pass that along if you experience any dns related issues.

Likely a DNS problem. Make sure you’ve to the resolver pointing to a valid DNS
server in ‘/etc/resolv.conf’. Like so:
nameserver 75.75.75.75
Cheers!
