Keith

you would create a "hooks" cart, now in order for that to work you would need
to make sure ALL YOUR AUDIO had "hooks" defined, i have never seen rivendell
do that, although i am just getting back into it after being away since 2006,

There may be a way to create special "clip" carts with your audio in them, say
create a "hook" clip for every song, then make sure your schedule schedules
the "hooks" cart with the right songs in it every hour, pretty neat idea to
include it in rivendell but i think not only would the main code have to be
modified but also you would have to go back through EVERY song file you have
and create "hooks"

BSI simian and OMT Mediatouch do this natively

Maybe a future addition to rivendell, we use the option i mentioned above, but
most of our audio was already "hooked" when it was wavestation wav files, so
that part of the job was already done!
