Is anybody scheduling their EAS test's with Rivendell or otherwise interfacing to the Sage Digital Endec so that EAS activations don't interrupt program material?

I set that up for one of my clients. On the back of the sage there is a terminal strip; the fourth terminal from the right, "D in 1", is the command pin that can be programmed to start an RWT. Short it to ground to run the test.

Next, you need to get a GPIO output out of Rivendell. My client uses a Broadcast Tools 16x4 switcher, but another client of mine uses parashell to control an output pin on his parallel port. If you use parashell, be aware that rebooting the computer may fire off an RWT.

Next, a macro cart needs to be set up in Rivendell to fire the test. It contains the command to run the test (in this case, GO 0 O 1 1 500!), followed by a 15 second sleep command. Rivendell will trigger the RWT, wait 15 seconds for it to run, and then proceed to the next event.

How does one go about accomplishing this?

Thanks,
