We are an equal Windows-Linux installation. We therefore talk to Rivendell
(running in Linux) from our Windows PCs across a LAN, and vice versa. Works
well.
The Windows installation is currently set up as a Workgroup. Rivendell is
configured to be part of this. For example, in smb.conf I see a parameter
'workgroup = '[name of workgroup], and there's bound to be other references.
We are thinking of changing our Windows setup from a workgroup to a
domain-controller. How would this affect Rivendell? What do we need to
consider or change on the Rivendell side?
I have scanned the Wiki but cannot see anything directly connected or of any
particular help.
Are there any networking specialists out there who can point me towards some
useful info? Initially I just need to evaluate what might be entailed in
making this change.
