personnally i don't use the chain-to event.
Instead, i use a cronjob everyday at 00:00,
executing the following script:
#!/bin/sh
NOWDATE=$(date +%Y%m%d)
rmlsend --to-host=ip.of.rdairplay.machine LL\ 1\ $NOWDATE\!
exit 0
Our log template name as defined in rdadmin being %Y%M%D, that loads the
log of the day.
