Assuming the http query would post to an address. You could write php
to execute a riv macro using RMLSend.
Similar thing in reverse once the log starts playing have a macro that
uses curl or something?

Hi all,
I have a silence detector employed that can output an HTTP query upon
an alarm activation. What I want to be able to do is for a standalone
installation of Rivendell to respond to this query and start playing a
backup log in the event of studio silence. Rivendell would then need
to respond to another HTTP query to "shut it up" when studio output
resumes! ;)
Can Rivendell be controlled using HTTP queries? I seem to remember
reading somewhere that it does support web functions? All of this will
be running on the same internal studio network. If this is not easy or
possible, can a solution be put together so as Rivendell can respond
to e-mails to start/stop log?
Many thanks for your help.
