I'm getting nervous that the system I started "playing" with will turn into my main on-air system for my LPFM.
That would be ok for the library and configuration but not so lovely for the non-mirrored, single disk hardware. I originally installed from the broadcast appliance disk 2.2.1 So, now I'm thinking I have two good options. a) I could buy a second drive and put it in this box and set up post-install mirroring. b) I could buy two larger disks, install the appliance disk from scratch, set up mirroring, then do a restore of my database and copy over my library. That would probably be good in the long run because my internal disk is only (!) 1TB and there are 3-4TB disks for not a whole lot of money. Am I missing anything? Is a restore-into-new-install a viable option? Will a restore of old BA database into a newer BA environment work? (I did find the wiki page on Migrating_Systems, sticking with the current BA version looks like it would work.) I don't have any automated rdcatch events or downloads or switching, just carts and clocks and a 800GB library. Any advice?
