Hi Jay,

We do this at the small Community Radio Station I manage down in Dorset UK. Because until very recently we have not been able to advertise on FM, content for top hour advert slots have needed to be different for FM and online internet streams. We have a Rivendell machine dedicated to playing out repeat/pre-recorded shows, filler music (when there are no live/repeat/pre-recorded shows), news and adverts. This is locked away so presenters cannot touch it! The main log carries repeat/pre-recorded shows and filler music etc. *Aux Log 1* carries content for advert breaks on FM and *Aux Log 2* carries content for advert breaks for the online internet streams. All advert breaks are automated at top of each hour and (shortly) at 30 mins past. External hardware audio matrix mixers route the *main log* audio to both FM and Internet, whist the *Aux Log 1* audio only goes to FM and *Aux Log 2*only goes to Internet (there is a programmed silence on the main log whilst the aux logs audio is playing out).

Not sure if that helps/answers your question, but it's how we do it over here at Abbey104 and it works very well :)

Regards,

Dan Gruner

Hi guys,

I realise this is probably is outside of the scope of Rivendell, but as a question, what would be the best (and ideally, simplest) way to have a split output for different regions. I.e. the main programming and music would be common, but adverts and idents would be different for each output.
