You might be able to take advantage of the two "Aux Log" players in rdairplay. This would be able to handle 3 "Regions" total.

You would have your common content and one region in the main log, then with some macro commands embedded in the log at each break, they would "break away" the other two regions to one of the aux logs and start them playing, another macro at the end would "rejoin" the main log and stop the aux logs until the next break. These macros would need to determine which region's log it needs to play then swing the audio (probably best done in Jack Audio, but could be done via external audio switcher) to that player and back.

This would mean you would merge one of your traffic logs with the main "music" log, but leave the others un-merged as in merge them to a blank music template. This would likely increase the cost of your traffic system to license it for more stations, but perhaps you have already done this.

The macros might be a little tricky to get working correctly because with the timing of things in Rivendell, macros don't always do what you think they should do, but once you have it, it should just work.

Subject: [RDD] Split output

Hi guys,

I realise this is probably is outside of the scope of Rivendell, but as a
question, what would be the best (and ideally, simplest) way to have a
split output for different regions. I.e. the main programming and music
would be common, but adverts and idents would be different for each output.
