Stereo Tool doesn't seem to work on Debian 8. It says:
jack_client_new: deprecated
Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory
Cannot connect to server request channel
jack server is not running or cannot be started
Thie is while Rivendell and darkice are happily talking via JACK.
Alas, Stereo Tool is a binary -- no source code -- so there's no easy way
to see what's going on.
