Subject: [RDD] Rivendell on Windows?

It is the fact that it runs on Linux is a major reason Rivendell is so good.

Yes, it is hard to get working, I've even had troubles with updates on
occasion.
But paring it with Jack audio, and using the powerful (but sometimes
troublesome) macro language,
I've been able to do things completely inside a single computer that
would take additional ones plus a lot of other broadcast mixing
equipment to do using other systems. You can then clone them for
emergency backups or to expand with your operation. No new licenses or
"copy protection" to worry about.

If you have to go with Windows, there are lots of other choices out
there, most of them are pretty good these days, but all cost money.

Before I would go that way, you might consider buying a turnkey system
from Paravel, then you can also buy support too. Its is then just like
all those others systems you might be tempted to go with.
