As previously mentioned, I'm trying to run Rivendell with the ALSA backend, and
have configured it using the Tryphon repos on Ubuntu 14.04.02 LTS.
After much back and forth with AudioScience (and a couple of hardware fixes)
I'm finally getting up to speed. asound.conf has the various rd entries (as
configured by rdalsaconfig — but now, I have a different problem entirely.
Rivendell doesn't seem to recognize any of my ALSA-configured sound cards. I
run rdadmin, select "hosts" and attempt to configure the audio card in question
(an ASI 5211). Instead of being able to select the one I want, the card
selection box is greyed out.
rd.conf is configured correctly, far as I can tell anyway. I'm just wondering
if there's something I missed?
