Hello all! Right now I have a Rivendell install set up and running, successfully generating logs for an automated music format. It works fine.
Now I’m looking to do something a little more fancy. I have a category which contains a number of carts - one for each artist with a song(s) in rotation, containing one or more cuts with spoken intro(s) appropriate to that artist’s song(s)… ie., “It’s the Beach Boys, on WXYZ!”. The goal is to correctly insert around 4 of these carts per hour into the log during certain dayparts. I know I could do it by hand (ugh), or I could edit the song cuts themselves (ish), or perhaps insert placeholders into the log and write an external script to do the job (ack). But I’d like to find a cleaner way of doing this… something that will remain manageable as both the songs and the intro carts/cuts change.
