Product is Motion Mixes by Austrian company Foster Kent. Used heavily in Germany to keep music going behind almost all announcers--especially news. Requires a monthly license fee; they don't sell the software outright.
It's capability to keep a loop going and segue seamlessly to a punchy button or climax is pretty awesome. I'm surprised no one has tried to copy its capabilities for those of us that can't afford paying license fees in perpetuity. Imagine if we had to pay Armstrong's estate to broadcast FM like iBiquity requires for HD. That's 100% the reason why we don't do HD. Every business these days wants a continuous tap on your pocketbook, and in the US, thanks chiefly to Microsoft, Congress and government regulators give it to them. There's a promotional video on YouTube showing Motion Mixes in action at 1010 WINS/NYC. --Chuck W.
