"Make next" doesn't address the problem of someone accidentally hitting a
wrong button and making a spot disappear. If someone fires the third event
instead of the first, the two events in front of it simply disappear from
the screen. If the operator is busy enough, he or she might not even
realize he or she has missed some events.
