Greetings, I know this subject has been in the discussion before. Wondering if anyone had made any progress on this front.
We are using X32 rack consoles for mixing and switching, routing audio. This is working out well however we are just running bash commands using amidi in the alsa library to control the consoles, it would be nice if the console could also talk to Rivendell. Currently we are using amidi sends to control channel muting, faders, mixing scenes, etc. This system coupled with the X32's AES50 routing of audio between studios has made it possible for us to eliminate audio switchers and many other pieces of outboard gear. 40 inputs and 25 mix buses in each studio has been more than enough to handle our needs. The consoles are quite clean, will except up to 23 db input We are currently running Rivendell 2.81 Cheers Tim Camp WZEW-FM Mobile, Al.
