Hi,

Probably not related but I had a similar issue when using a real serial port. It would be fine for a few days and then would stop receiving via Riv.

In the end I stopped using Rivendell as a go between and used screen combined with some shell scripts to relay to Riv via rmlsend. It has been reliable ever since.

Its worth a try either way although it may not make a difference:
