Sort of. 1. There are the users in the user table in the mysql database. root (mysql root) and rduser (mysql rduser) are in here. 2. There are the users in the USERS table in the Rivendell database. admin and user and any other users you create are in here. 3. There are the linux users that are in /etc/passwd. root (system root) and rduser or rd or whatever user you log in as to run rivendell are in here. Also rivendell is in here with a shell of /bin/false which means it cannot log in. These are the "3 sets" of users. "I thought you said there were '4 sets'." Right. The 4th. set is not really a set per se. These are the users in /etc/rd.conf The [Identity] section points to rivendell from set 3 in my system. The [mySQL] has rduser from set 1 in my system. The set 3 users are used when you run rdlogin. This is where you would set up various users with different privs to work on the system. (I think.
