Even when "IMPORT"-section is set to none? The way I understood it, was
that he did not give the event "anything to do", except make it a
hard-time event. I may have gotten it wrong tho.

Yes - specifically, music and traffic import link markers. This was a
change in v2.18.0. Previous to that version, those markers were
suppressed in the generated log (primarily for aesthetic reasons).
They are now retained so that remerging of music or traffic data will
work properly in situations where the previous log had no
corresponding imported data.
