So I backed up and stared fresh. But here's something I'm running into...

When I go into rdalsaconfig as sudo, I add the cards and save, it tells me

Home directory not accessable: Permission denied

It then just saves a header and footer to my /etc/asound.conf

cat /etc/asound.conf

# *** Start of Rivendell configuration generated by rdalsaconfig(1) ***

# *** End of Rivendell configuration generated by rdalsaconfig(1) ***

If I add just the basic settings, rdadmin sees the card and plays.

so

pcm.rd0 {
  type hw
  card0
}

ctl.rd0 {
  type hw
  card 0
}

I know I could add the cards myself and not even touch rdalsaconfig, but
I'm not sure what to put in asound.conf, hence why I tried with
rdalsaconfig.

Am I doing something wrong?
