We have stations using Barix Instreamers to feed Icecast servers. We don't send the metadata to the Barix boxes but to the Icecast servers directly.

I'm stumped. Can't even get curl to send plain text that the Barix will accept although it returns <ACK>, but the command finally dies of inactivity. There are a couple references in the archives to people who say they have done it, but unfortunately, zero information on how they did it. At the moment, not using it as a pass-through to our stream server, but just trying to get the internal Barix streaming server to send metadata as an in-house monitoring tool. Have been using "rlm_shoutcast1.rlm" in loadable modules, with .conf file set to the Barix specified "Tcpport=12302" and latest format string among dozens of variations I have tried, is "FormatString=http://192.168.0.123/rc.cgi?E=StreamArtist='%a' - StreamTitle='%t';" There is a CR after the format string, which Barix says is required, in addition to the ";" character at the end of the line. If someone has a Barix 100 successfully sending metadata from RD, any help would be appreciated. --Chuck W. _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list [email protected] http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
