Hey,

A quick redo of the permissions plus a trip to RDLogin fixed it! Not sure
how it happened in the first place - this is a single user setup behind a
firewall so my user has admin rights - but either way, thank you both for
the advice! I really appreciate it.

Now back to scratching my head over how to set up JACK...
