Recently, I have put the CentOS 7 appliance on 2 radically different computers (laptop and desktop), and they worked brilliantly right out of the box. Both were recent hardware, which may make a difference, but if the appliance doesn't work, try different hardware. An IT pro is helping to build a client machine on Pi's, which would solve some logistic problems at a particular installation, and that task is daunting. But after batting a thousand with the appliance on recent hardware, I don't know how it could get any easier. I have been working nearly exclusively with Linux since 2011 and the CentOS 7 installer is the absolute best of the major distros. Current problem is not Rivendell at all, but getting the Cinelerra-CV video editor to install on an Ubuntu Studio laptop installation. The Rivendell appliance was a breeze compared to that. --Chuck W. _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list [email protected] http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
