Thank you for the tip. I should have looked in Dmesg sooner.... it said the asihpi failed to load because it was missing a signature or required key. As I read up on this, I found several cases where it seems that both drivers try to load at the same time. By blacklisting them, you end up with no active card in RDAlsaconfig but Rivendell has the correct audio resources using the correct ASIHPI driver.
