Yes, *if* ‘Read ISRCs from CDs’ is set to ‘Yes’ in RDAdmin->ManageHosts->RDLibrary. The switch is there because CDs that do *not* contain encoded ISRC information can take much longer to load up if the ripper tries to search for ISRC information that isn’t there (basically, the entire platter must be scanned). Most CDs pressed later than the mid-90s have such information, but if your workflow includes a lot of earlier material, you may want to consider turning this switch off.
