There is not in the current codebase, but I agree that it would be a Good Thing to have. I'm thinking along the lines of two different types of date display: 'Long' Form --e.g. Friday, January 25, 2019. This would get used in places like the clock widget in rdairplay(1). 'Short' Form --e.g 1/25/2019. Used in many locations (reports, widgets, etc). Each of these could be customized for a given site, and would then be used consistently throughout Rivendell.
