In 2.x we have a bash script that has a line with this sort of thing:

let SQLRESULT=$(mysql --skip-column-names -u "$user" -p"$pass" "$db" -e
"select COUNT from $LOG_NAME WHERE START_TIME >= $ms LIMIT 1";)-1

then:

rmlsend LL\ 1\ $NOWDATE\ $SQLRESULT\!

this loads a log into rdairplay and starts it in about the right place.

I feel sure that at some point this or its basic beginnings came from the
list.

I am trying to update this idea for 3.x

I will report back if I get it working.

If anyone already has the adjustments made, I would appreciate the answer.
