With Tim's perseverance and patience with me, I've got a working unit. The issue was a corrupt database. In the long run it was found that using a mysqldump from the machine running v2.19.3 was better than using the backup database feature in rdadmin. Then use mysql to drop the new Rivendell database, create a new empty Rivendell database and import the backed up .sql file. After it imported I ran rddbmgr --modify as root and let it do its thing. I know I paraphrased a lot here but I did write this down so I can update our existing server now to get me up to date. fingers crossed. ________________________________ From: [email protected] <[email protected]> on behalf of Harris, Don <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, April 29, 2020 11:31 AM To: Tim Camp <[email protected]> Cc: Rivendell Mailing List <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [RDD] new install V3
Thanks to Tim for working with me last night on this. I'm a lot closer but still having issues. I've gotten the db imported, mostly I think. It didn't give any errors during import and modifying but it seems some things never transferred. The audio is all there in the library and I can listen to it. I can add carts to RDcartslots and play them, In RDAirplay I hit Add, select a cart and I can preview it there, but when I add it to the play log(left side) it says no audio info and it won't play. It will play from the sound panel buttons on the right side if I add one there. Also, no clocks were transferred and if I create one, none of the events show up with color as they should and when I create a new log from the scheduler, the only thing present is the chain to event. I've checked that the services have been set up and selected but can't find my issue. Any other ideas?
