I tried that and it said "ftp not found". after a quick Google search, I installed lftp and got it done.

I've forgotten way more than I thought. Trying to follow the wiki and not having a lot of luck. There is a section titled "Turn off automatic updates
These instructions are for the Rivendell Broadcasting Appliance. "

which says "I generally disable all of the repositories
except 'Paravel-Broadcast' ", yet it gives no instructions on how to do that.

Also, earlier on the page it says to go to Administration > Network and Administration > Date & Time to make changes, yet neither of these appear with anything close to that described in the wiki.

Really stumbling here.

Michael

I'm just transferring some files between machines on the local network.

I'm amazed and the stuff not installed. I got the file transferred and couldn't decompress it because bzip2 was not installed.

I guess I've been out of the business too long.

If you want classic ftp(1), you can certainly get it. Just do:

yum install ftp

And I thought I was the only one who still used that old stuff!  :)

bye
