Terry, Usually when I have issues with MP3's not importing via dropboxes it has to do with issues with the MP3 header/metadata information not conforming to standard.
Generally when importing MP3's I'll run them through mp3val first, which is a small little piece of software that will look for common issues with headers and metadata in an MP3 file and fix it.
