Apparently, the problem isn't with the software, but with the
documentation. web_api.pdf says:
FIELD NAME: LINEnum_TYPE
MEANING: Event Type
REMARKS: Mandatory. One of the following key words: Audio, Chain, Macro,
Marker, Track, MusicLink, TrafficLink
But it would seem this is wrong, and this field actually wants to be an
integer:
0 = Audio
1 = Marker
2 = Macro
5 = Chain
6 = Track
7 = MusicLink
8 = TrafficLink
Do I have that right? Am I missing anything?

SaveLoG doesn't handle MARKER events properly, either. Both CHAIN and MARKER
events get entered with Type = 0, and appear in RdLogedit as Audio events.

I just updated to RD 3.6.2. The SaveLog command still doesn't handle Chain
events properly, entering them as type Audio.

Well, it seems there's a problem with the SaveLog command. It doesn't
handle Chain events properly, entering them icorrectly as Audio events. I
haven't figured out a workaround yet.
I'm running RD 3.4 on this particular machine.
