Hi Frank,

I'm unable to log into svn.apache.org with my Apache password either, which means I can't set the svn password, which in turn means I can't check in the ServiceUI spec files.

Does anyone else out there remember how they set their svn password so they can check files in? Also, should I just brazenly check these ServiceUI spec files into the trunk?

Thanks.

Hi Bill,

According to the following page,

        http://incubator.apache.org/river/svn.html

you need to be a River committer, and you need to set an svn password:

"Any River committer should have a shell account
on svn.apache.org. Before you can commit, you'll
need to set a Subversion password for yourself.
To do that, log in to svn.apache.org and run the
        command svnpasswd."

Have you tried this yet? It's been many months since my first svn
connection, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the subject.

Hi Frank,

My password doesn't seem to work under subversion. I assume it is the apache password, right? I have the trunk checked out and the appropriate files added, but can't commit them. Any ideas? The username I'm using is "bv".

Thanks.

Bill - we'd like to produce a "Release Candidate" in the next
couple of days... and we need this in prior to doing that.

Does Frank's pointer help? Any way you can get this done this
week?

Hi Bill,

If you need guidance with checking-out the source tree from the
subversion repository, the instructions are located:

Is this the help you were seeking?

My next task will be to figure out how and where to check this into SVN.
