Yes add the apache license header to each file.
And what is the policy of using external libraries. This code uses:
1. commons-codec - which is Apache project
2. Google Code Guava (formerly Google Collections) - which is not Apache but
its licence is Apache Licence
We can distribute the binary lib jar's in these cases.
