This is an intermittent failure in com/sun/jini/test/impl/outrigger/matching/StressTestWithShutdown.td

Usually, the RUN output is:

[java] =============================== CALLING RUN() ===============================
     [java]
[java] TestBase.shutdownNoSleep SEVERE: Could not call killVM for service com.sun.jini.outrigger.ConstrainableSpaceProxy2 for 2b8a6efc-bcdd-4780-8581-9a97a747e6e8 (through Proxy[OutriggerServer,BasicInvocationHandler[BasicObjectEndpoint[8b488fa8-ec21-4554-b7e0-9e4b4ea991bd,TcpEndpoint[127.0.1.1:56034]]]]) [java] TestBase.shutdown INFO: Shutdown worked, sleeping for 10000 milliseconds...
     [java]
     [java] TIME: 5:04:57 PM
     [java]
     [java] TestBase.shutdown INFO: ...awake
     [java] MasterTest.doTest INFO:

When it fails, it hangs after the "TestBase.shutdown INFO: ...awake" line, and does not print the final output line even if left for over an hour. When it works, it prints the final line within seconds of the "awake" line.

I assume the "test process was interrupted" comment in the QA log is to do with the QA test infrastructure killing tests that hang too long.

I've reproduced the failure at least once each on the latest revision, 1039768, and on 1029966. It failed the first time I tried the test on each of the two Ubuntu virtual machines. That is consistent with a timing problem that is more likely in the presence of page faults.

I'll continue to investigate.

[thobbs] Stopped river.home from being overriden so that the correct java-savy

tests pass (on Windows), specifically those that use the HTTPD class.
